Samsung, one of Korean Mobile Phone Company has released the Samsung Omnia with a windows mobile 6.1 operating system. It is a slim and compact device combining a digital camera and smart phone features. Comes with 3.2 inches TFT touch screen and fascinating applications such as Samsung Touch Wiz UI, Samsung Today Screen 1 and 2, allows us to use our fingers to access the menu easily through its Qwerty on-screen keyboard . The other touch screen feature technologies installed in this gadget are optical trackpad, handwriting recognition, and the accelerometer sensor for auto rotate.
The device screen supports colors up to 256 K where we are able to watch movies, videos and pictures clearly through its crystal clear display, and it looks elegant on its platinum body. Many world class high end entertainment features can be found in Omnia. 
5.0 Megapixels camera is embed to this mobile phone along with many advanced camera features like flash, image stabilizer, and autofocus. These additional features can produce excellent images with almost no noise. After taking a video or picture, you can easily view them onto TV screen with its TV out feature. When you are in the middle of making a call, you can use the video call feature, and turn on the secondary video call camera.
For music maniacs, Omnia spoils them with an MP3 player which produces clear sound quality. It has Divx/XVid/WMV/MP4 player to watch your favorite videos and movies. If you prefer to listen to the radio, Omnia comes with FM Radio and RDS technology making it is more interesting to explore the music through the radio wave.
Several Java games are available in this stuff. This smart phone enables multiple messaging services and embed with internet browser, WAP 2.0 / XHTML, HTML, RSS Feeds and built in GPS receiver with A-GPS Support.
For data transmission, many features are available like 3G, HSDPA, Bluetooth connectivity, GPRS class 12, Edge Class 12,W-LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and USB V2.0. You can save a lot of data since Omnia has 8 GB/16 GB internal memory. Feel not enough, just add a Micro SD Trans Flash memory card.
Overall, Samsung i900 Omnia has offered us great satisfaction both in entertainment and business. But, it also has some disadvantages like poor sunlight legibility, not hot-swappable memory card, non standard USB port. It also has no stylus slot and no 3D accelerator which are both available in HTC Touch Diamond, it’s great rival!
