Finally Samsung becomes the first vendor introducing a Smartphone powered by the Google Android operating system. Samsung i7500 offers several impressive features such as 3.2-inch HVGA AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic LED) touch screen, 3G HSDPA 7,2 MBps with mobile data transmission HSUPA 5,7 MBps, 8GB of internal memory plus microSD expansion slot (supports up to 32GB), and a 5-megapixel camera. The quad-band world phone also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Although Samsung i7500 has many features included, but it remains slim and compact measuring a mere 11.9mm in thickness.

The device supports several multimedia formats like MPEG4, H.263/4, WMV video MP3, (e)AAC/+, WMA RA audio – and as we know that it is an Android device, the i7500 supports Google's various famous services, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Maps with support for Google Latitude, Street View, and many more.

Samsung has built the i7500's with GPS receiver which makes it easy for integration with Google Maps features like My Location, Google Latitude, Street View, local search and enables a detailed route description.

The Samsung I7500 will also provide access to a hundreds of Android apps and games via the Android Market. It will be available in major European countries starts from June, 2009 while it has been available now in Germany.
